More Storms Today

A line of severe storms caused lots of wind damage across eastern Kentucky yesterday. More storms are possible today, but for now, they seem to be on the weaker side. Still, it’s possible to get a few severe storms out of the setup today.

The storms today will be more scattered, they will also be weaker for the most part. Keep an eye to the sky as a few of them could drop some heavy rain and gusty winds.

Today: Scattered thunderstorms likely. The main action will occur after 1PM. Some storms could contain heavy rain. High around 84 degrees. Track the storms with radar from accuweather:

Tonight: Storms die out around 10PM. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a low near 62.

Tomorrow: Yet another scattered thunderstorm event. Expect them to pop up in the afternoon and die down in the evening. High near 81.

The main thing to watch for will be the amount of sunshine we see today. If we get a lot of sun, the storms will have a better chance of getting strong. Keep an eye on the visible satellite for breaks in the cloud cover.

Looking all the way into next week, things could get HOT. The warm up starts on Saturday and goes all the way into the middle of next week. Check  out temps per the GFS on Wednesday!

The heat also tags along humidity so we keep scattered thunderstorm chances all through the 7 day.
