Tornado Watch

As of 11PM EST all of East Kentucky is under a TORNADO WATCH until 5AM tomorrow morning. This means that conditions are favorable for thunderstorms to spin up tornadoes along the cold front that’s dragging through the area tonight.

Outside of the tornado risk still lies the possibility for severe straight line wind gusts of over 70 MPH. These storms will be arriving at a time where most of us are sound asleep so make sure you have some way of being alerted if a warning is issued for your area. I’ll be up throughout the duration of the event so if you see something interesting please feel free to submit a report.

Here’s the watch box per the storm prediction center in Norman, OK.
